I have been in the motor trade for some years now and have seen many car breakers around the town come and go, which is a shame as I believe they offer a great service, especially in these difficult times. This business has always been here and continues still, so they've obviously got it right in what they do! + I've used them for a long time now. The staff are always helpful, knowledgeable and the prices of parts are excellent, compared to new prices. I cant remember a time when I've bought something and it has been no good, but, if a part is found to be faulty, then they will exchange it for another item or give a refund if they don't have a replacement in stock, starters, alternators, batteries etc are tested before removal and serviceable bits come from running cars before removal. The rest that is beyond repair etc is recycled. Brake and steering components obviously (in my opinion) need to be sourced as new parts for safety reasons, but the choice is there for you at the end of the day. There are still tons of bits to save a few quid to be had from a light lens to a complete engine or gearbox but, always phone first to find out if available. They can also service, repair & mot your car for you if you need. If you want a cheap motor as a run around, the better cars that come in (mostly due to uneconomic repair costs for the previous owner) are repaired Mot'd (safety checked) and put back on the road, these cars are in a separate yard for sale as you round the second bend into Brindley close... Highly recommended in my opinion...Terry. (TA)
