poor customer care at Blaylocks

I like the shoes they stock however they rarely have a range of sizes. Recently I found a pair of red sandals when I asked for my size I was shown a very faded now pink version of the same sandal which had been in the window. When I adjusted the buckle on these sandals the fading could be seen clearly as the true colour was revealed. The assistant asked the manager if there was any price reduction however I felt the sandals were now unsaleable given how they had faded. the original price was �£52 and the pair were offered to me for �£42 - I couldn't believe it. �£42 for for faded shoes. When I addressed the manager he turned away from me leading me to believe he hadn't realised I was talking to him. I said I thought the shoes were unsaleable and to offer them at �£42 was an insult. He replied he thought I was insulting him and offered red polish/dye and assured me they were saleable. I was very surprised by his tone and am disappointed in his approach to customer care. A lot of elderly clients shop here and I would hope they would not unknowingly be fobbed off with seconds. Unfortunately this will be my last visit to Blaylocks due to the managers poor approach to his 'valued' customers.
