Bakehouse Cottage, Summerside Road,
Libby Calvert has been making patchwork since the 1960's. Encouraged by her mother, who in turn was inspired by a great-aunt's Victorian quilt, she has developed her special technique, using a number of different patterns based on the original overall design. She co-ordinates colours carefully in her work, matching any desired colour combination. As well as bedspreads of any size, she now makes bridge and chess tablecloths, cotspreads and masses of cushions
