• Davies & Son Plastering Services Appalling

  I called the office of this business and informed them that I had a small amount of damage caused by the delivery of a sofa. I deliberately chose a local plasterer in case the job was too small to avoid long travel for the company concerned. The gentleman turned up late with no word of an apology looked at the damage and said he would post a quote for us. After 2 weeks we still had not received the promised quote, I then called up and asked if it had been sent and I was assured it had been posted but they would now hand deliver it to us. I was on holiday for two weeks and expected to find it on the doormat when we got home but there was still no sign of it. I called again and was told this time they never bothered to send the quote despite saying they would on three occasions by this stage as it was too small a job, this is information that would have been better 4 weeks previously. I was told I did not really need two quotes which was not the case upon checking so I texted the BUSINESS mobile and politely asked if I could have the quote I was promised and I got a snide text back moaning about me interrupting his evening I concede it was 9pm but I expected a work mobile to be turned off out of hours. In short do not be fooled by the flash website, honesty is probably the most important thing when choosing a tradesman so avoid this one at all costs.
