The company operates a Quality Management System and is working towards obtaining BS ISO9001 certification. SUSTAINABLE DESIGN - Within NMW Architects Ltd. Sustainable design matters are given central importance, Nigel has had a long standing involvement including “Eco homes” pilot projects for a Housing Association and recent projects where Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 has been achieved. Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor’s training has been undertaken in order to raise the level of understanding and skills required to meet the increasing demands engendered by the code and the developing regulatory framework.. We have also applied Sustainable design and construction principals to projects at Blunsdon House Hotel such as "the Pavilion" building (a development of 50 bedrooms and a Beauty Spa) and "Christopher`s Restaurant" and in the construction of a visitors centre for the North Swindon Development Company. In designing these buildings we placed emphasis on high insulation values, natural ventilation systems and the specification of sustainable materials.
