Rubbish

Took an item back that was faulty - it had no on / off switch!! Store manager claimed it was ok and to switch off you remove the batteries!! Store policy stated will only offer a refund on faulty goods. After arguing for over half an hour with her, quoting sale of goods act and item not fit for purpose, etc, I finally accepted a credit note (store policy) which was valid for 3 months - dated 27/12/11. As I am not local to Swindon it's taken until this week to return to find the shop has closed. Trading Standards have been informed and consulted over this matter and they gave me an address to write to to ask for a full refund as they have clearly broken the sale of goods act on several counts. Previously Gift Fuzion traded under the name Gimme Gizmo (edited to include correct name) and were in the old Virgin Megastore during Christmas 2010. Steer well clear of these con artists if I were you should they turn up in Swindon in Christmas 2012. EDIT I have now found out the company (Time It Retail) has gone into liquidation - http://tinyurl.com/c48e6kq - and any chance of obtaining a refund for breach of contract is highly unlikely.
